You will play a key role in maintaining and optimising core infrastructure, storage, virtualisation, and disaster recovery solutions, ensuring system performance, security, and availability. The Role:
As an Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting and optimising the organisation's on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure. You will work on VMware, Hyper-V, Azure, networking, storage, and backup solutions, ensuring operational efficiency, security, and disaster recovery readiness. You will also play a key role in technical documentation, system monitoring, and troubleshooting to maintain high availability across all IT services.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong experience in VMware, Hyper-V, and enterprise virtualisation.
- Hands-on expertise with Dell, HP servers, SAN, and NAS storage solutions.
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery tools.
- Proficiency in Windows Server (2012-2022) and AD management.
- Experience with networking fundamentals (Cisco, Meraki, Aruba).
- Strong understanding of monitoring tools (PRTG, Lansweeper, Tenable).
- Familiarity with security patching and endpoint protection solutions.
- Ability to work independently, manage workloads, and support business continuity.
