Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant

About the Role

Are you a fluent Welsh speaker with a passion for supporting students in their educational journey? We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistants to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of schools, providing essential support to teachers and fostering a positive, inclusive environment for Welsh-speaking students.

Responsibilities:

Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons in Welsh and English.
Support Welsh-speaking students with their learning, ensuring they can fully participate and progress.
Provide 1:1 support or small group assistance as needed, tailored to individual learning needs.
Prepare and organize resources for Welsh language activities and lessons.
Encourage students' language development by reinforcing Welsh vocabulary and phrases in a school setting.
Supervise students during classroom activities, outdoor play, and educational outings.
Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
Act as a positive role model, promoting respect for Welsh culture and language within the school community.

Requirements:

Fluency in Welsh: Both written and spoken proficiency is essential.
Experience in Education: Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role is preferred, but we are open to those with other relevant experience in childcare, tutoring, or mentoring.
Communication Skills: Ability to engage effectively with students, teachers, and parents, both in Welsh and English.
Passion for Education: A commitment to making a positive impact on students' learning experiences.
Adaptability: Willingness to work across various schools and adapt to different educational settings.
Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
