About the Role

Are you a fluent Welsh speaker with a passion for supporting students in their educational journey? We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistants to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of schools, providing essential support to teachers and fostering a positive, inclusive environment for Welsh-speaking students.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons in Welsh and English.
  • Support Welsh-speaking students with their learning, ensuring they can fully participate and progress.
  • Provide 1:1 support or small group assistance as needed, tailored to individual learning needs.
  • Prepare and organize resources for Welsh language activities and lessons.
  • Encourage students' language development by reinforcing Welsh vocabulary and phrases in a school setting.
  • Supervise students during classroom activities, outdoor play, and educational outings.
  • Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
  • Act as a positive role model, promoting respect for Welsh culture and language within the school community.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Welsh: Both written and spoken proficiency is essential.
  • Experience in Education: Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role is preferred, but we are open to those with other relevant experience in childcare, tutoring, or mentoring.
