Welsh-Speaking Teaching Assistant
About the Role
Are you a fluent Welsh speaker with a passion for supporting students in their educational journey? We are currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Welsh-speaking Teaching Assistants to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work across a variety of schools, providing essential support to teachers and fostering a positive, inclusive environment for Welsh-speaking students.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in delivering high-quality lessons in Welsh and English.
- Support Welsh-speaking students with their learning, ensuring they can fully participate and progress.
- Provide 1:1 support or small group assistance as needed, tailored to individual learning needs.
- Prepare and organize resources for Welsh language activities and lessons.
- Encourage students' language development by reinforcing Welsh vocabulary and phrases in a school setting.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, outdoor play, and educational outings.
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Act as a positive role model, promoting respect for Welsh culture and language within the school community.
Requirements:
- Fluency in Welsh: Both written and spoken proficiency is essential.
- Experience in Education: Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role is preferred, but we are open to those with other relevant experience in childcare, tutoring, or mentoring.
- Communication Skills: Ability to engage effectively with students, teachers, and parents, both in Welsh and English.
- Passion for Education: A commitment to making a positive impact on students' learning experiences.
- Adaptability: Willingness to work across various schools and adapt to different educational settings.
- Qualifications: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
