TSR Legal are pleased to be working with a well-established, traditional multi-service law firm renowned for its client-centered approach and dedication to providing quality legal services, who are looking for a proactive Conveyancing Legal Assistant to support a long-standing fee earner in the conveyancing department. As a Conveyancing Legal Assistant you will play a key role in assisting a senior fee earner with their caseload of residential conveyancing matters. This position requires a candidate who is highly organised, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellent client service. You will be integral to ensuring smooth operations, managing a variety of administrative and legal tasks within the conveyancing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and practical support to the fee earner in managing a busy caseload of residential conveyancing files.
  • Handle client correspondence, including drafting documents, letters, and emails.
  • Conduct searches, manage client ID verification, and assist with Land Registry applications.
  • Prepare and collate documentation for property transactions, including completion statements and exchange contracts.
  • Communicate with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other third parties to facilitate property transactions.
  • Maintain accurate records, ensuring all case files are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with post-completion tasks, including Land Registry filings and SDLT submissions.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in conveyancing is highly desirable.
  • Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and prioritise workload.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Proficiency in using legal case management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of the conveyancing process and relevant legal terminology.
  • A proactive attitude, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
