Graduate Mechanical Engineer

Candour Talent is proud to be representing a leading aerospace manufacturer in their search for a Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join their South Wales site. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent engineering graduate to gain hands-on experience in a high-tech, fast-paced industry, working closely with experienced engineers and operational teams.

We're looking for someone who is proactive, eager to learn, and confident in solving problems-whether technical or communication-based. If you're ready to take your first step into the aerospace sector and want a varied, exciting role, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.



Key Responsibilities

  • Review and interpret engineering documentation including drawings, reports, specifications, and procedures

  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across departments

  • Provide technical support to engineering and operational teams

  • Produce engineering drawings using CAD and SolidWorks to aid in repair processes

  • Assist senior engineers in daily engineering tasks and projects

  • Represent the department at internal meetings, report actions and outcomes to the wider team

  • Communicate and liaise directly with clients and customers (full UK driving licence required)

  • Get involved in project and continuous improvement initiatives



What We're Looking For

  • HND/HNC or Degree-level qualification in Mechanical Engineering (Aerospace experience advantageous)

  • Familiarity with CAD software, ideally SolidWorks

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new challenges and technical tasks

  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic, with a team-first attitude

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Full UK driving licence required
