Are you a Welsh speaker looking to make a positive impact in education? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Welsh-speaking Cover Supervisors to support schools across Caerphilly and the surrounding areas. We have a dedicated Welsh-speaking department that specialises in supplying staff to Welsh-medium schools throughout South Wales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans, ensuring students are on task and maintain good behaviour.
  • Support students in a positive and proactive manner, promoting their learning and development.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and behaviour.
  • Assist in creating a safe, inclusive, and productive classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in Welsh is essential.
  • Previous experience working with children, either in education or a transferable field (such as coaching, mentoring, or tutoring), is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage groups of children effectively and maintain discipline.
  • A proactive, flexible attitude to work and a desire to help students succeed.
  • A DBS check (we can assist you with this if needed).
