Your new SchoolA medium sized primary school in Caerphilly, are looking for a qualified teaching assistant to support them for day-to-day cover and longer-term appointments. The school received positive ratings in its last Estyn inspection and has a reputation for being welcoming and friendly. They would like to add a passionate, motivated teaching assistant to their team who can have an immediate impact whilst gaining valuable experience of working within education.Your new roleYou will be responsible for supporting the primary school teacher in the planning and execution of their lesson plan in a classroom of year 3 pupils. The role will also include working with children with ALN on a 1:1 basis, as and when required. What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience of working with children within an educational setting
  • Patience, empathy and a genuine interest in working with children
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Ideally, you will hold a relevant qualification (CACHE Level 3 Certificate etc)
  • A valid driving licence is preferable, but not required.
