Quality Engineering Inspector - Part Time 2 days per week, job share

Role may suit a recently retired Engineer living in or near South Wales

You will be an experienced Quality technician or Engineer. Hands on control of quality concerns and providing support for production areas. Experience gained in a quality role is essential. Incoming and outgoing inspection control.

You must have the permanent right to work in the UK without company Sponsorship

  • Maintenance of inspection records and ERP processes.
  • Assist warehouse & materials with the identification of non-conforming product.
  • Inspection & analysis of suspect components/assemblies from production lines and stock disposition.
  • Analysis, verification & processing of production rejects, completion of reject records and scrap metrics.
  • Identifying improvement actions, waste reduction, contribute to continuous improvement programme.
  • Reporting and co-ordinating with SQA all supplier defects and concerns.
  • Processing of supplier rejects through Return to Vendor (RTV) process.
  • Support quality containment actions.
  • Manage and maintain the QA inspection areas.
  • Support internal sample inspection process & verification of product.
  • Support supplier PPAP verification process.
  • Support SQA activities, liaise with suppliers and supplier visits when required.
  • Adhere to defined quality processes in accordance to ISO9001.
