Accountancy Recruit is partnering with a family run oil provider in the recruitment of a Finance Manager based in Caldicot, South Wales. The company is well established, providing outstanding customer service by a committed team.The purpose of the role is to maintain the company’s finance and payroll functions, with the support of two Finance Assistants. This is a busy, fast paced environment with a high-volume customer base, which needs focused attention to ensure that the day-to-day transactions are running smoothly, pricing is correct and therefore the month end process is efficient.Duties

  • Ensure the smooth day to day running of the company finance function with the support of two Finance Assistance.
  • Overseeing and maintenance of the Sales and Purchase Ledgers
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Overseeing credit control
  • Processing the payroll using Sage for 22 employees
  • Closing month end accounts and journals
  • Preparing accruals, prepayments, P&L and balance sheet
  • Weekly cash flow reporting
  • Working closely with the Managing Director and advising on areas for improvement, cost savings, risk management, etc.

Requirements & Skills

  • AAT or Qualified by Experience
  • Attention to detail to ensure financial reports and data are accurate and complete
  • Flexibility and adaptability to manage changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
