Accountancy Recruit is partnering with a family run oil provider in the recruitment of a Finance Manager based in Caldicot, South Wales. The company is well established, providing outstanding customer service by a committed team.The purpose of the role is to maintain the company’s finance and payroll functions, with the support of two Finance Assistants. This is a busy, fast paced environment with a high-volume customer base, which needs focused attention to ensure that the day-to-day transactions are running smoothly, pricing is correct and therefore the month end process is efficient.Duties
- Ensure the smooth day to day running of the company finance function with the support of two Finance Assistance.
- Overseeing and maintenance of the Sales and Purchase Ledgers
- Bank reconciliations
- Overseeing credit control
- Processing the payroll using Sage for 22 employees
- Closing month end accounts and journals
- Preparing accruals, prepayments, P&L and balance sheet
- Weekly cash flow reporting
- Working closely with the Managing Director and advising on areas for improvement, cost savings, risk management, etc.
Requirements & Skills
- AAT or Qualified by Experience
- Attention to detail to ensure financial reports and data are accurate and complete
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
