Acorn by Synergie is working with a specialist company to appoint an experienced Stock Controller to manage orders and inventory whilst working alongside a number of teams such as Planning and Procurement, Operational teams as well as Compliance and Quality teams.
Responsibilities:
* Placing and tracking orders according to production schedules and inventory needs.
* Regularly monitor inventory levels.
* Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery time lines, and address any potential delays that may arise.
* Work with internal teams to align material schedules with business requirements.
* Support supplier meetings, negotiations, and evaluations to ensure that the supplier performance aligns with business needs.
* Identify and implement strategies to improve inventory management and optimal stock levels.
Key Requirements:
* Outstanding data management skills.
* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
* The ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and colleagues at all levels.
* Proven ability to implement process improvements in inventory management and materials planning, driving efficiency and cost reduction.
* Strong problem-solving skills to swiftly address stock shortages and delivery delays.
* Experience in developing and providing accurate demand forecasts for key suppliers.
* Ability to actively collaborate with the procurement team to support and drive business growth objectives.
* Proficient in Excel.
* Commercial and financial awareness with an understanding of cost, production, and order fulfilment impacts is desired.
