**Position: Experienced HGV Technician**

Location: Caldicot

Working Hours: Monday to Friday,

Job Responsibilities:

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on a variety of commercial vehicles and trailers, ensuring compliance with VOSA standards.

- Diagnose and resolve a range of mechanical faults.

- Provide assistance to disabled vehicles at the roadside or at client locations.

- Ensure meticulous handling of all vehicles and adherence to safety precautions while on site.

- Coordinate with the parts department to acquire necessary components.

- Comply with Health and Safety regulations and maintain safe working practices.

- Complete job cards and service sheets accurately and in a timely manner.

- Uphold a high standard of cleanliness and orderliness in the work environment.

- Maintain updated knowledge of products and participate in relevant training programs.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

- Ability to operate within defined guidelines and meet strict deadlines.

- Capability to work effectively under pressure and actively identify solutions to challenges.

- Strong verbal communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.

- Flexibility to engage in a diverse range of tasks.

- Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.

- Possession of a technical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ) or equivalent proven experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.

- Valid ADR certification.

- Current driving licence with LGV/HGV classification.
