Role Responsibilities
  • Supporting the management and delivery of assignments, ensuring they are completed on time and to the highest standards
  • Preparing client deliverables, including the Audit Findings Report, and building strong relationships with clients and their teams
  • Acting as an ambassador for the business, representing the firm professionally in all client interactions
  • Planning assignments, including budgeting, use of analytical review, and attendance at stock takes
  • Supervising, delegating, and reviewing the work of assistants to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Preparation of accounts, including those under FRS 102 and 1A
  • Identifying, researching, and helping to resolve technical issues that may arise during assignments
  • Developing a strong commercial understanding of clients’ businesses and keeping abreast of any developments
  • Collaborating with other service lines across the business to benefit clients, referring opportunities where relevant, and minimising risk
  • Forming relationships with the national Audit & Assurance team, sharing knowledge and best practices across the wider business
  • Attending training to further develop and maintain your technical skills, and working towards a professional qualification if not already attained

Candidate Requirements
  • ACCA or ACA qualified, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in audit
  • Qualified by experience also considered
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, ISAs, and Companies Law, with recent accounting and audit experience
  • Exposure to owner-managed businesses and a good understanding of their unique challenges
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build strong client relationships
  • Demonstrated analytical thinking and a high level of attention to detail
  • Technical ability with up-to-date knowledge of developments in accounting and audit regulations
  • Drive and resilience to deliver high levels of customer service
  • Commitment to building the firm's reputation through quality work
