Buying Assistant

Temporary Contract - 12 weeks

REED Business Support are pleased to be working with one of the largest renewable energy organisations throughout the UK and Europe, who are looking to recruit a 'Buying Assistant' on a temporary basis for their ongoing project. Working in the office and from home, you will be responsible for reporting into the procurement manager and assisting the team with various procurement assignments.

This is an interesting role working within a highly ethical organisation who does great work throughout the UK.

Details:

Monday - Friday // 09:00 - 17:00 

Hybrid Working Pattern (minimum 2 days in office)

Start Date: Asap

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process requisitions into purchase orders and distribute them to suppliers
  • Verify and confirm order acknowledgements from suppliers
  • Accelerate the processing of purchase orders when necessary
  • Efficiently communicate any order discrepancies and timelines to the site

What we're looking for:

  • Previous buying / procurement experience
  • Previous experience within the renewable sector (Not essential but desirable)
  • Good level of admin skill
  • Solid IT skills particularly MS Office
