As a Production Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless execution of daily operations. Here's a glimpse of what you'll be doing:
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble the daily schedule for Production, and Packing, optimising efficiency and resource allocation.
- Ensure daily capacity is balanced and maintain a two-week capacity view to proactively address potential bottlenecks.
- Create effective plans by leveraging predefined (default) strategies that minimise planned downtime.
- Monitor dispatch stocks meticulously, promptly rectifying any discrepancies.
- Be the guardian of customer service, maintaining regular communication with the business on a daily and weekly basis.
- Prepare and share the Planning KPI Dashboard, highlighting service metrics, plan adherence, and finished goods waste.
- Collaborate with commercial managers to request concessions or provide guidance on service failures.
- Assist in stock control of finished goods, identifying and resolving ongoing issues with Dispatch
- Generate the comprehensive 7-day plan to facilitate smooth operations.
- Coordinate special activities, including product trials, packaging, samples, and third-party production.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends and uncover opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Play a vital role in developing training documentation, including training programs and delivering training to fellow team members.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in production planning or a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong analytic skills with the ability to identify patterns and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented and capable of handling multiple tasks with a strong sense of prioritisation.
- Proficient in using planning tools and software to streamline operations.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
Package
- Salary up to £38,000 DOE
- 4 day condensed weekend role (Friday - Monday 6.30 - 16.30 work pattern)
