My client is an engineering company that supply products to a variety of industries including Automotive, Medical and Aerospace industries.

Due to growth within the business, they are looking to recruit this newly created role of Technical Estimator with the Sales team.

The main function of the role will be preparing cost estimates for manufacturing customers parts, using specifications and drawings.

Other duties will include:

  • To control and oversee all technical cost estimating and associated processes.
  • Cost analyses and review previous production orders.
  • Produce production CAD drawings from customer drawings.
  • Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product.
  • To be the first point of contact and response in relation to technical enquiries.
  • Provide pre and post technical support directly both with Regional Sales Managers and to the customers where necessary.

Hours

The working pattern for the role will be 37.5 hours Monday to Friday 08.30 - 17.00 Monday to Thursday and 08.00 - 13.30 on Friday WFH.

Skills/Experience required

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in Engineering
  • Previous experience within manufacturing
  • Experience in CAD
  • Excellent IT skills (MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
