Company Overview: Class People are an independently run, family business specialising in the education sector. Class People was established over 20 years ago by our CEO who at the time was a supply teacher herself who wanted to create a better, more personalised service for client and candidate.

Role Overview: We are looking for an activity co-ordinator to work 2 days a week at Community Support Service for adults with learning disabilities in Calne, Wiltshire. It’s a lovely service in the centre of Cane where they support adults with physical, mental, emotional, health, and wellbeing of adults with complex needs and autism. This is an ongoing placement that could become perm and will be every Thursday and Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • To help implement a range of activities, within and outside of the service, promoting each customer’s independence and choice.
  • Encouraging mutual respect and peer confidentiality.
  • Support customers in accessing activities and trips both within the local community and beyond. Encourage their involvement in decision-making and implementing ideas within the service.
  • Ensure the customers follow the organisations practices and procedures.
  • Ensure any issues or concerns regarding the customers are reported to the service manager.
  • Assisting customers to maintain an acceptable level of health and hygiene.
  • Assisting with mealtimes and ensuring there are adequate catering supplies and food hygiene procedures are followed.
  • Comply with the organisations  Safety and Data Protection Policies and to protect your own and others’ health, safety and welfare.
