We're working closely with a fantastic special school in the Calne area that are looking for a full-time SEN Learning Support Assistant to join the team in supporting ASD students in a KS2 class. The school look after a range of students but all are diagnosed with some form of ASD.
The school are situated on beautiful grounds and they have gone through exciting redevelopment recently so boast top of the range facilities.
The role
This vacancy is within a KS2 class of around 8 students where you will be expect to support the class teacher with whatever they need, while working closely with 2 other TA's in the class.
I'm reliably informed that this class is a really lovely bunch of students who will rarely exhibit particularly challenging behaviour. You will be expected to have experience working with ASD, preferably in a school setting.
