About the Statutory Accountant role:

We are looking for someone to cover a maternity absence with a background in UK statutory accounting. The right person will have a recognised accounting qualification and experience in preparing statutory accounts, ideally under IFRS and consolidated accounts. The role performs a ‘head office’ function for the statutory accounting so you will work with multiple business partners to collect, aggregate and prepare the accounts and as such will be a key contact with external auditors.

In return, we can provide a window into various corporate tax disciplines, including year end tax provisioning, deferred taxes, Patent Box and R&D claims, transfer pricing as well as collating the information required for the UK tax computations and review of the final documents.

This role is a fixed term contract for a maternity cover

What we’re looking for in our Statutory Accountant:

Experience you'll bring

  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Experience of preparing consolidated accounts (IFRS preferred) and leading on the Group audit
  • Previous experience of providing Business Partnering support
  • Strong Excel knowledge
  • Recognised and relevant accounting qualification
  • UK tax knowledge would be an advantage
