About the Role

TPF Recruitment are excited to be working with a well-established, growing advisory firm. Our client offers a range of accounting and advisory solutions to entrepreneurial and high-growth businesses. They are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their dynamic Tax team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a variety of taxation matters, ensuring that clients’ evolving requirements are met through tailored solutions.

As Tax Manager, your duties will cover corporate and personal tax returns, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax, Trust Tax, and tax planning advice. This role is office-based, offering the chance to work with a friendly and collaborative team. It is ideal for a driven, ambitious, and versatile individual seeking the next challenge in their career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice on various taxes, including Personal Tax, Trust Tax, Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax, VAT, Research & Development, P11D, and tax planning (Corporation Tax experience is beneficial).
  • Prepare and review complex Personal Tax Returns, while managing a portfolio of personal tax clients.
  • Assist with training and supporting colleagues in Trust Tax matters.
  • Stay up-to-date with tax legislation and advise clients on the tax implications of accounting standard changes.
  • Guide clients on tax planning opportunities and provide clear, concise written reports.
  • Contribute to business development activities, helping to grow the tax department and client base.
  • Assist with ad-hoc advisory services and liaise with clients regarding planning opportunities.
  • Support the development and implementation of internal policies and systems.
  • Report to senior management and collaborate across teams to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Requirements
  • Ideally CTA qualified with significant experience in both personal and corporate tax, with a strong understanding of VAT, R&D tax credits, Trusts, Inheritance Tax, and overseas tax matters.
  • STEP qualification preferred but not essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to navigate complex issues and offer practical recommendations.
  • Strong client relationship management skills, with a proven track record in expanding client services and business development.
  • A personable and approachable nature, with a sense of humour and an enthusiasm for teamwork.
