Key responsibilities for this Transport Panner role:
- Planning the activities of the Transport Team
- Ensuring planned routes are in line with working time directive and drivers' hours
- Producing transport plans
- Supporting the Transport Planning Supervisor with tasks to ensure day to day tasks rum smoothly
- Monitoring the Transport Management software and internal spreadsheets
- Liaising with other depots and customers
- Ensuring the department complies with health and safety legislation
- Producing cost efficient operational transport plans daily
Requirements for this Transport Panner role:
- IT Literate with experience using MS Office essential and SAP is beneficial
- Previous experience working within transport or a route planning role
- Experience using DiPS or alternative planning system preferred however not required
- Must be available immediately
- Ability to work alone and as part of a team
- Must have great attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The Role:
- This role working Monday - Friday
- Working 7am until 4pm however some flexibility would be needed from time to time to suit business needs
- 14.50 per hour
- Paid weekly
