About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer with an Electrical Bias for one of our valued clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional with a background in facilities maintenance, looking to take on a new challenge. If you have a keen eye for detail, are well-versed in electrical systems, and have experience with facilities maintenance tasks such as Legionella testing and fire alarm inspections, this could be the perfect role for you.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Perform scheduled testing and inspections, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, and other safety systems.
  • Carry out Legionella testing and ensure compliance with water hygiene standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and adhere to health and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers for specialized maintenance work when required.
  • Handle general facilities maintenance, including HVAC systems, plumbing, and lighting.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical background.
  • Experience in facilities maintenance, including fire alarm testing, emergency lighting checks, and Legionella control.
  • Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, or equivalent).
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
