Our client is seeking anexperienced Field Engineerto join their team. This role involvesinstalling, maintaining, and repairingfire detection and security systems, ensuring the safety and security of clients' properties. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in fire and security systems and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and plandetection and security systemsbased on client needs and industry standards.
- Install and configurefire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and other security devices.
- Conduct regularmaintenance and inspectionsto ensure compliance with regulations.
- Troubleshoot and repairfire and security systemsefficiently.
- Providetraining and supportto clients on system usage and management.
- Stay updated onadvancements in fire and security technologyand recommend system improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensureprojects are completed on time and within budget.
- Support theService Deskwith technical issues.
- Act as apoint of contact for manufacturersto resolve client issues.
- Be theon-site point of contactforkey accountsand ensure successful job delivery.
- Address faults andresolve complaints efficientlywhile maintaining communication with the office.
- Provideconstructive feedbackto the Service Desk.
- Completejob cards within 24 hoursof a site visit, ensuring detailed reports.
- Maintain aclean and tidy company vehicleat all times.
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge ofalarm systems, CCTV, access control, and security technologies.
- Strong understanding ofindustry regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellentproblem-solving skillsand ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Strongcommunication and teamworkskills.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to quality service.
- Relevantcertifications(e.g. FIA, NSI) are desirable.
- Proficiency ininstallation, maintenance, and repairof fire and security systems.
- Ability tomanage time effectivelyand prioritise tasks efficiently.
- Valid UK driving licenceand willingness to travel as required.
- Strong decision-making skills, particularly under pressure.
- Commitment tohealth and safety standardsin the workplace.
