About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant/Financial Controller to join a dynamic team. This role is integral to the financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate reporting, budget management, and supporting the wider team with financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts, including variance reporting.
  • Production of audit files and liaising with auditors for timely completion of accounts.
  • Managing cash flow and ensuring financial stability.
  • Supporting and covering payroll and third-party wage processing as required.
  • Collaborating with managers to update and reconcile costings, budgets, and reports.
  • Managing bank reconciliations, supplier payments, and VAT submissions.
  • Supporting financial decision-making across the business.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 3 years' experience in management accounts and payroll.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working under pressure and meeting critical deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Opera accounting software.
  • Knowledge of running large payrolls.
  • Commercial awareness and experience in a fast-paced business environment.
