Their growth strategy will contribute to economic growth and sustain around 7,000 jobs in the building industry and its supply chain. With a plan to increase stock by 5,000 homes over the next 5 years, providing more affordable housing options on a low-cost rent and sale basis, this employer is a much sought after option, offering benefits and stability alike.The Role:
  • Building and managing a team of Regional Building Surveyors to provide solution with complex repairs.
  • Manage and resolve challenging projects, keeping customer satisfaction to a high standard.
  • Collaborate with contractors, clients, and in-house teams to maintain housing stock to the highest standards.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance across all projects, promoting a culture of accountability and excellence.
The Candidate will need:
  • Extensive domestic dwelling experience from a technical management perspective, demonstrating an understanding of the built environment. 
  • Good level of knowledge of building diagnosis and fault-finding experience. 
  • Demonstrates knowledge of health and safety legislation pertaining to management of housing and the construction industry, including CDM. 
  • Knowledge of letting and project management of contracts and service providers, including developing formal specifications, contracts and technical information as well as managing health and safety. 
  • H&S Certification (SMSTS / IOSH / NEBOSH or equivalent).
  • Level 4 or 5 Qualification in a construction related field (HNC/HND or equivalent).
  • Professional membership of MCIOB or RICS.
