Role Responsibilities- Managing audit and assurance engagements across a range of industries
- Leading a varied client portfolio, from SMEs to major regional businesses, charities, and international groups
- Supervising and mentoring a team of auditors, supporting their professional development
- Reviewing audit assignments, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS standards
- Leading client relationship management, acting as a trusted advisor
- Supporting business development activities, including networking, client tenders, and strategic growth initiatives
- Ensuring engagement profitability, managing billings and collections efficiently
- Collaborating with partners and the marketing team to identify new opportunities and grow the firm’s client base

- ICAEW or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
- Proven experience in audit, gained within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS, with experience in corporation tax being advantageous
- A commercial mindset, with experience in business development, client tenders, and networking
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, confident in front-line client contact
- Experience with CCH accounts software (or similar accounting packages) would be beneficial
- Flexibility to travel, with occasional overnight stays when required
- A full UK driving licence and access to own transport is essential
