The One Group is thrilled to be working with a mission-driven charity in Cambridge to recruit a Finance Officer to support them on an interim basis.This role offers an exciting opportunity to take on a varied position within a values-led organisation, managing financial processes and statutory reporting for an initial fixed term of 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the monthly cost recovery process, ensuring data accuracy, resolving queries, and completing reconciliations for posting into Sage.
  • Perform and manage monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations across multiple entities.
  • Provide comprehensive financial reporting for Programme Offices, ensuring compliance with the Financial Policies.
  • Produce consolidated financial reports for distribution to senior leaders, including the COO and Directors, and deliver detailed SLT reports.
  • Review and refine monthly cashflow forecasts, offering actionable insights on cash management and future funding needs.
  • Manage quarterly reconciliations and inter-company transactions, ensuring timely adjustments and robust communication across entities.
  • Assist in preparing statutory accounts in line with Charities SORP (FRS102), covering project income recognition, subcontractor accruals, and inter-company reconciliations.
  • Support the Head of Finance in aligning financials with statutory requirements and internal KPIs.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience of working within finance for a Charity or not-for-profit
  • AAT qualified and/or working towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Expertise in statutory reporting, financial analysis, and cost management.
  • Proficiency in Sage or equivalent accounting software.
