I am pleased to partner with a leading technology business who are seeking a Financial Accountant to join a well-experienced team around Cambridge.

This role will be a bread and butter Financial Accountant role reporting into the Finance Manager. You will have oversight of assets, revenue, yearly statutory reporting, fixed assets and managing monthly inventory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage stock accounting, reporting, and bi-annual counts.
  • Track capitalisation, and research and development project spending.
  • Maintain asset register, verify assets, and guide staff.
  • Process, review, and ensure accuracy.
  • Reconcile revenue, assess new products, and track deferrals.
  • Prepare statuary accounts, financial statements and ensure compliance.
  • Calculate and review annual provisions.
  • Handle audit requests and liaise with auditors.
  • Assist with tax returns, planning, and assessments.
  • Monitor project costs, assess impairments, and support claims.
  • Manage insurance data, compliance, reconciliations, and ad hoc tasks.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Professional accounting qualifications (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)
  • Strong experience within Financial Accounting including knowledge of UK GAAP reporting standards.
  • Strong experience with working tight deadlines,
  • Advanced Excel and analytical skills
