- We are seeking a Financial Accountant for a reputable institution located in Cambridge city centre.
- The role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in technical accounting and financial reporting.

- Key responsibilities include preparing statutory accounts, managing tax returns, and maintaining financial controls.
- Candidates should ideally be ACCA or ACA qualified, but those with strong technical reporting experience will also be considered.
This is a key role that will have responsibility for delivering technical accounting expertise and driving controls compliance, this role will also own the statutory and legal financial reporting.
The main duties are as follows -
- Accountability for producing accurate and complete trial balances
- Responsible for the preparation of the legal entity statutory accounts
- Responsibility for direct and indirect tax returns
- Work closely with the Management Accountant to ensure reconciliation of the management accounts and trial balance
- Be the single point of contact for audit queries
- Design and implement financial controls in conjunction with the Head of Finance.
You will ideally be qualified ACCA or ACA however qualified by experience with be considered if you have a strong background in technical reporting. This role may suit somebody looking to take their first role in practice, it will give a great first opportunity to manage a small transactional team underneath a supportive Head of Finance.
Alongside a competitive salary the benefits package includes up to 8% enhanced pension scheme, healthcare cash plan, death in service benefit, cycle to work scheme and use of the on site gym. Part time working will also be considered but this will be 4 days a week
