Are you an experienced Group Financial Controller looking for your next challenge? NXTGEN are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a fast-growing and highly innovative technology firm at a pivotal time in its journey. With ambitious plans to expand it's global footprint, the business is looking to appoint a Group Financial Controller in a newly created role, taking ownership of the day to day accounts function, whilst working closely with the CFO to help shape the financial future of this ambitious organisation.

As Group Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate and insightful financial reporting, developing best-in-class financial controls, and supporting the strategic direction of the business. Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to ensure the group's financial operations run efficiently, all while mentoring and developing a growing team.

Key responsibilities within this role will include:

    • Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and consolidated financial statements.
    • Implement new transfer pricing policies and intercompany accounting processes following the successful opening of the US operations
    • Take ownership for financial control, developing a robust reporting environment to mitigate future risks whilst ensuring compliance with accounting standards
    • Work closely with the CFO on all FP&A reporting, including the review of budget performance and alignment with company financial objectives
    • Oversee the cashflow forecasting process, optimising cash and working capital, ensuring sufficient resource for R&D projects.
    • Lead, mentor and continue to develop the current finance team, creating a high performing function that evolves with business growth
    • Support the CFO with strategic decision making, potential fundraising rounds and possible M&A activity

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with a good technical knowledge of IFRS reporting. Any prior experience with US subsidiary offices would be significantly advantageous given the growth potential of this market. You'll be confident working in a high growth, tech start up/scale up business, with experience working in these environment significantly advantageous.
