Experienced Management Accountant is required for a 6 month contract to support this Finance Function through a period of change. This is a remote role with only very infrequent trips to the office in Cambridge required.

Cambridge based SME organisation that works Remotely. You will need to be able to come in to the office for the occasional meeting.

You will come in to this small finance function to play a key role as Management Accountant:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management Reporting: Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Variance Analysis: Perform detailed variance analysis, providing insights into performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Compliance and Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Help maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of key accounts, ensuring all discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to provide financial support and guidance on financial decision-making.

Ideally you will be an experienced Management Accountant will and able to work from home. You will be available at short notice and happy to commit for the 6 months of the assignment.
