Pure are delighted to be partnering with the University of Cambridge on the recruitment of a Management Accountant for the Cambridge University Libraries. This position is a core member of the finance team and is joint deputy to the Head of Finance. Cambridge University Library is one of the worlds great research libraries, the library is a major resource not only for the Universities academic community but also for researchers nationally and internationally. This role is responsible for providing financial advice to aid the planning, implementation and management of CUL finances to ensure objectives comply with financial regulations. The key responsibilities are as follows - - Providing high quality advice on financial planning and management and building strong relationships with library leaders and budget managers across the libraries. - Working closely with the Head of Finance on all aspects of financial and business planning, budgeting, resource management and strategy carrying out regular budget monitoring with budget holders.- Take responsibility for analytical reporting of the budgeting and financial planning process, producing regular financial reports including variance analysis.- Work with colleagues to ensure effective financial internal controls are in place. - Take responsibility for the development of COGNOS reports to enable the reconciliation and consolidation of budget, actuals and variance reports. - Alongside other finance colleagues support the development of new planning tools within the finance transformation programme, collaborate with the Finance Division to identify and improve data within the finance system. You must have proven experience in the above mentioned duties and be AAT qualified or equivalent.
