NXTGEN is thrilled to be partnering with a well-established practice in Cambridge to recruit a Semi Senior Accountant for their dynamic Business & Advisory team. The new Semi-Senior Accountant will work with a diverse range of owner-managed businesses, where you'll work alongside Managers and Partners to build direct relationships with decision makers and play an instrumental role in providing a quality service. You will be heavily involved in a range of accounting services, including bookkeeping, forecasting, year end accounts and preparing tax returns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing medium to large accounts
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and VAT returns
  • Resolving client queries with minimal input from senior staff or managers
  • Supporting with tax computations
  • Reviewing your own work and that of junior team members before passing it to a Manager
  • Training and mentoring junior colleagues

What you'll need:

  • Working towards ACA / ACCA part qualification (minimum criteria).
  • Experience of working in an accountancy practice
  • Client-facing experience
  • Up to date working knowledge accounting legislation
