We are actively recruiting for a job opportunity with an accountancy firm in Cambridge, available at Semi-Senior Accountant up to Senior Accountant level. The salary is negotiable and will of course depend on experience and qualification level, so is open within reason.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking moderate to large accounts preparation assignments, including the accompanying tax computations.
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and VAT returns where appropriate.
  • Reviewing team members' work and own work before passing to the senior on the job.
  • Using initiative to resolve any client queries with minimal input from senior / manager.
  • Training / mentoring more junior colleagues.

Requirements:

  • Working towards ACA / ACCA.
  • Experience of working in an accountancy practice preparing sets of accounts.
  • Client facing experience.
  • Up to date working knowledge of VAT.
  • Experience of using Sage, Xero and QuickBooks Online.
