Back to searchI am currently working exclusively with one of the Cambridge colleges on the recruitment of a Senior Management Accountant, this is a great opportunity which will support the Head of Finance in managing a team of 3.
This role will manage a small team including a Management Accountant and two ledger clerks, the purpose of this position will also be to work closely with non finance stakeholders on budgeting and forecasting and will take the lead on the annual budget process and reforecasting projections.
The main duties are as follows -
- Take responsibility for delivering all all aspects of the colleges management accounting including cost management, cash flow management, variance analysis, budgeting & forecasting.
- Lead the finance transactional processing including management of income, student billings, cashbook and accounts payable functions
- Review the financial ledgers ensuring accuracy
- Review the teams month end work, including balance sheet reconciliations, cost centre reports, funds, donations accounting and major project reporting.
- Lead monthly review of variances
- Lead on the annual budget process ensuring income, cost management and operating cash flow management.
You will need to have significant post qualification experience in financial and management accounting and previous experience of staff management, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to review and improve processes and be resilient and calm under time pressure.
