We are delighted to be supporting a leading not for profit organisation based in Cambridge as they seek to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their team. This role has become available due to a departure within the team and within this role you will report into the Group Financial Controller. This role offers a good benefit and holiday package as well as hybrid working arrangements for the successful applicant.

As the incoming Assistant Accountant, you will tasked with the following set of responsibilities, including but not limited to:
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Preparing month end management accounts
- Weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts
- Intercompany reconciliations
- Assisting with year end audit
- Additional ad hoc support to other team member as required

As the successful applicant, you will have previous experience working within a similar finance role and ideally have AAT or equivalent qualifications. You will also have good knowledge of preparing journals and reconciliations. Additional attributes you will ideally possess include:
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both on a written and verbal level
- Good problem solving skills and ability to work under your own initiative
