A leading organisation is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive assistant accountant to join its finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to further their career in accounting within a dynamic and supportive environment. Within this role, you will report into the Financial Accountant. This role offers flexible and hybrid working too. As part of the finance team, you will play a key role within the finance team. You will be tasked with the following duties:
  • Maintain accurate financial records, including cash transactions, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee the purchase ledger function, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and supplier queries.
  • Process and reconcile month-end journals, including prepayments and accruals.
  • Assist with payroll reporting, staff expenses, and verifying bank detail changes.
  • Provide finance support to internal teams, including purchase orders, training, and petty cash management.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a finance role previously, strong numerical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are essential, as the role involves liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders. Strong organisational skills are required to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
