Document Controller

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Document Controller to ensure that all project documents are accurate, compliant, and easily accessible. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and external stakeholders.

Temporary Ongoing Contract

Pay Rate: £180 per day PAYE

Main responsibilities:

    • Manage the receipt, distribution, and storage of documents, including drawings, contracts, and project reports.
    • Maintain and update the document control system (both physical and electronic) to ensure efficient access and retrieval of information.
    • Verify document accuracy and ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
    • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and external parties to gather and distribute project-related documents.
    • Conduct regular audits to ensure all documents are complete, accurate, and filed correctly.
    • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes, reports, and project documentation.
    • Provide administrative support, including data entry, preparing reports, and maintaining spreadsheets.
    • Manage document approval workflows and track document status to prevent delays.

Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with multiple teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
  • Experience as a Document Controller or in a similar administrative role, preferably in construction or engineering.
  • Experience in preparing reports and maintaining logs for document tracking and audits.
