Hygiene Team Leader (Nights)

Are you an experienced hygiene professional with strong leadership skills? We are recruiting for a Nights Hygiene Team Leader to oversee hygiene operations in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is key in maintaining high hygiene standards, leading a team, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of 4-6 Hygiene Operatives, ensuring all tasks are completed effectively.
  • Maintain hygiene systems, documentation, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Drive hygiene awareness and improvements across the site.
  • Report on achievements, non-conformances, corrective actions, and strategic improvements.
  • Ensure GMP and hygiene standards exceed customer expectations.
  • Train, mentor, and manage team performance, attendance, and KPI delivery.
  • Work closely with the Factory Management team to improve hygiene and safety standards.
  • Monitor water usage, microbiological swab results, and hygiene performance.
  • Oversee cleaning schedules, complete job cards, and manage hygiene-related documentation.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong leadership and organisational skills with experience managing hygiene teams.
  • Experience in food production (Low & High Care) and knowledge of good hygiene practices.
  • Understanding of HACCP, COSHH, IOSH, and BRC audit requirements.
  • Ability to drive micro swab performance to 96%+ and monitor hygiene KPIs.
  • Logical thinker with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • A proactive, flexible approach to work with a focus on continuous improvement.
