Copello are now recruiting for an experienced Air Traffic Controller (ATCO) on behalf of an Aerospace business based in Cambridge.
The ATCO will provide a safe and prompt flow of ATC services to all aircraft operating under Instrument & Visual flights rules when arriving, departing or operating in the vicinity of the Airport.
You will be responsible for:
- The provision of safe Air Traffic Services in accordance with CAP493, CAP774, CAP413 and MATS Part 2.
- Ensuring that all equipment is operated in accordance with approved procedures.
- Instigating fault reporting procedures to ensure a proper record is kept.
- Taking a pro-active approach to hazard identification and making recommendations for operational ATS safety improvement.
- Reporting occurrences either mandatorily or voluntarily depending on the specific circumstances in the credible expectation that any subsequent investigation will be conducted under Just Culture principles.
- Monitoring, recording and reporting ATC equipment serviceability status.
- Identifying failures, abnormal occurrences, or other conditions that pose a safety hazard.
In order to apply for this role, you will:
- Have validated ATCO Class G Airspace experience - essential
- Be an experienced OJTI and/ or unit training officer
- Hold a UK CAA Air Traffic Controllers license with ADI, and APP or APS rating and must validate this at the Airport.
- Hold a current UK CAA Medical Certificate
- Have ATCO Level 6 English language proficiency
- Hold Met Observers Qualification (Desirable)
- Have OJTI, UCA Endorsement (Desirable)
- Hold a Verifier/Evaluator Qualification (Desirable)
- Hold Assessor / Evaluator / Verifier qualification (Desirable)
My client offers a very competitive remuneration package. Relocation will also be considered. This role is based on site full time and requires eligibility for security clearance. There will be occasional travel requirements too.
