Are you an experienced Procurement Scheduler looking for your next challenge? We are recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join their procurement team.
About the Role:
As a Procurement Scheduler, you will work closely with the Procurement Team to assist with daily tasks and ensure all supporting information is up to date, strengthening the department. The main focus is the day-to-day scheduling of all products while keeping relevant departments informed and maintaining accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of packaging and ingredient stocks; place bulk orders with suppliers, and raise Despatch Orders to align with Planning requests and forecast requirements.
  • Place orders for all new and existing promotional materials to ensure sufficient stock levels.
  • Keep forecasts updated by liaising with Commercial and Retail Forecasters, ensuring suppliers are informed about delists or major demand changes.
  • Order sundry stocks in line with forecasts and raise POs as necessary.
  • Place frequent orders for film, using daily counts to monitor usage.
  • Learn daily Procurement tasks to provide cover when needed and further career development.
  • Maintain up-to-date FOPS systems, including delivery dates, order quantities, and product details for smooth ordering and booking.
  • Ensure all packaging and ingredients required for pre-production trials are ordered and relevant information is sent to NPD.
  • Keep the Packaging Template current with all codes and prices.
  • Attend NPD meetings to provide input into packaging concepts and feedback to the team.

Performance Measures:

  • Service level compliance.
  • Availability of materials.
  • Waste reduction levels.
  • Delivery schedule accuracy.

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports to: Packaging and Ingredients Procurement Manager.
  • Direct Reports: None.
  • Matrix Reports: None.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, or scheduling roles preferred but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to react to key issues across business units.
  • Self-motivated and able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to prioritise workload based on risk and importance.
  • High degree of organisational ability.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
