Position: PCB Design Engineer
Salary: 60.00ph - Outside IR35
Location: Cambridge Area - Hybrid and Fully Remote Available
Hours: 40 Hours Per Week
Proactive are currently recruiting for an experienced PCB Design / Layout Engineer for minimum 6 month fixed term contract based in the Cambridge area. This is an exciting opportunity working for a leading supplier in the world of electronic instrumentation which specialise in the highest quality test and measurement equipment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the full lifecycle of the PCB design process from assisting with the mechanical board definition to delivering high-quality PCB layouts. You will be required to support the existing engineers and be responsible for the in-house PCB design and layout requirements.
Requirements of the role:
- Working alongside the hardware teams to produce the required designs.
- Completion of PCB design layouts as required Including Backplane V2/Scope V2 designs along with MSO.
- All designs are required to be completed for the use case and adhere to correct DFMA principles.
- To provide support the HW development plan creating any changes as required.
- Adherence to industry standards and regulations for PCB design and manufacturing.
- All designs should be undertaken considering factors such as routine, component placement and production limits.
- Ability to Generate Gerber files for PCB fabrication.
- Completed PCB design files as required, including but not limited to CAD, Gerber.
- Design review and any approval documentation.
- Support the supplier technical queries to ensure manufacturing deadlines and delivery.
