Polytec are looking for a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our Cambridge based client. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of our clients products through rigorous inspection, implementation of quality control measures and identification of areas for improvement of processes.
Responsibilities:
* Keep QMS updated with incidents, fixed and improvements
* Lead internal audits (ISO 9001:2015 and ISO14001)
* Review and update current specifications and quality documentation
* Develop and execute process control plans for characterisation processes to ensure they are operating to the required standards
* Determine and monitor quality metrics for all quality objectives
* Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving the quality of the products
* Identifying the root of technical issues and recommend fixes
* Prepare reports on defects and corrective actions for products and processes
* Set detailed guidelines for the quality gates for production and development processes, defining the parameters to be checked and establishing the quality standards
* Monitor the entire production cycle and perform regular tests to identify potential malfunctions as early as possible
Requirements:
* Scientific or engineering degree in appropriate subject or knowledge gained through experience
* Excellent data handling and analytical skills
* Hands on approach with willingness to work in an agile and changing environment
* Proven project management skills to deliver outcomes to tight timescales with limited budgets
