We're looking for an experienced AV Technician for our client based in Cambridge. This is initially a 6-month role starting in early January and running towards the end of June 2025. You will be involved in operational support and routine maintenance of AV equipment including data projectors, PA systems, microphones and AV control systems. Your role will also include first-line technical support for meetings and events, assisting end users and also the creation and maintenance of user documentation.

Responsibilities:

* Operational support and maintenance in key areas of the audio-visual and IT infrastructure
* Providing first-line user support
* Work with the Senior AV Engineer to create and maintain user documentation
* Installation of equipment configuration and removal of equipment, conducting tests, correcting malfunctions and assisting users as required
* Identifying and resolving network problems following agreed procedures using network management software and tools to collect performance statistics.

Requirements:

* HNC / level 4 vocational qualifications or equivalent level of practical experience
* AV industry certification (AVIXA, Extron, etc) desirable
* Experience of working in an AV / IT department
* Able to perform basic equipment installation e.g. mounting TVs, desirable
* Occasional out-of-hours attendance may be required for special events
