Business Development Manager – Medical Technology Location: CambridgeSalary: £80k-£105k + excellent bonus x 2 + great benefits!   An exceptional next generation medical devices technology development and manufacturing company are seeking a Business Development Manager, to assist them in growing their highly innovative and world changing medical device client base. As the Business Development Manager, you will get to partner with the world’s most ambitious companies on projects that are shaping the future of global healthcare and medical technology – turning ideas into novel life-changing concepts into reality!  Due to the varying nature of the company and role, this role would suit an experiences Medtech Business Development Manager professional with a strong technical background – starting your career either as an engineer or a scientist, then growing into Business Development. Using this experience, you will speak to clients’ technical personnel whilst using your commercial skillsets to drive purposeful working relationships with all project stakeholders.  The company environment is highly collaborative with a flat structure allowing the successful candidate to get involved in not only the development and sales of next-generation life changing products, but also get involved in the strategy focus of the business!  You will need to have a good understanding of the med tech / health tech market. As the Business Development Manager, you will be working with the VP of sales building and growing the CDMO customer base. Somebody who has worked for a medical technology design consultancy would be welcome for this role.  The Business Development Manager will need the following:
  • A passion for innovative technology in medical devices – Med tech
  • Strong academic credentials in Engineering (electronic, mechanical or software) OR related scientific areas.
  • Recent and relevant experience within sales -in the medical device sector – thus a contact book of potential clients would be highly advantageous.
  • The ability to articulate your ability to seek out new business opportunities, discover new markets and solve technical problems meeting each clients’ unmet needs.
  • The ability to travel internationally – meeting clients and attend global conferences and trade shows etc.
