Do you have experience with downstream manufacturing processes within a biotech setting? Have you worked within a cleanroom environment? We are currently offering the opportunity for a scientist to join an innovative biotechnology company based in Cambridge. Our client is seeking a new hard-working individual to join their manufacturing team.

The Role

As a Scientist within the gene / DNA manufacturing team, you will be responsible for:

  • DNA / gene manufacturing projects within a cleanroom environment,
  • Performing downstream processing and chromatography experiments,
  • Assisting with housekeeping tasks, including environmental monitoring, media prep, and equipment maintenance,
  • Handling of QMS documentation & creating / updating SOPs.

Current / Recent Experience Required:

  • Independently working with and troubleshooting AKTA systems or TFF (essential).
  • Hands-on experience performing different types of chromatography, e.g. affinity, SEC, IEX (essential).
  • At least 6-months working within a cleanroom environment in a biotech / R&D / industry setting (essential).
  • Working in compliance with cGMP regulations (desired).
  • Previous handling of QA / QMS responsibilities, such as creating / updating SOPs (desired).

Profile Required:

  • Existing UK work eligibility (essential).
  • Happy to commute / relocate to Cambridge (essential).
