We are currently working with a global leader in the pharmaceutical industry who are investing in their Analytical department with an exciting new avenue in peptide research.

Due to their pursuit of this area of research, they are looking to take on a Purification Chemist with Preparatory HPLC and/or Preparatory SFC (Supercritical Fluid Chromatography) experience. You will grow within this team and eventually become the specialist within this space, so this is an amazing opportunity to develop your career.

The successful candidate will support the purification development for some of their chiral protein R&D projects and work closely as part of a multi-disciplinary team with R&D and Process Development scientists.

The main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Development and optimisation of peptide purification techniques using Prep HPLC and Prep SFC.
  • Collaborating closely with a range of internal stakeholders to help define project milestones and deliverables.
  • Compiling clear and concise reports summarising your work.

Required Experience:

  • A higher education qualification in analytical chemistry, chemistry or biochemistry
  • Experience in protein purification (Prep HPL or SFC), preferably within a pharmaceutical environment.
  • Experience with Oligonucleotides is highly desired
