CK Group are recruiting for a Cell Biology Scientist, to join a leading Life Sciences research provider who are based in Cambridge, on an initial 3-4 month contract basis.

Location:

The role is based in Cambridge and is on site as it is laboratory based.


Role:

  • You will work collaboratively with other team members to perform the required cell biology activities to ensure projects move forward within the expected timelines.
  • Maintain various mammalian cell cultures and troubleshoot cell culture-related issues.
  • Use lab information management systems (LIMS) and various equipment such as cell counters, liquid handlers, plate readers and cellular imagers to support screening workflows.
  • Follow methodologies & operating procedures and record all work to the agreed company and departmental standards.
  • Help maintain a safe and efficient working environment and contribute to the daily running of laboratory operations.
  • Present information and data clearly to internal stakeholders.

Your Background:
  • Educated to PhD level in Biotechnology, Biological or a related discipline or a similar level of experience.
  • Extensive experience of mammalian cell culture and excellent aseptic technique.
  • Proven track record in planning and performing a range of mammalian cell-based assays.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent planning/organizational skills with a careful and meticulous nature.
