TimePlan Education is seeking a dedicated and reliable Caretaker to join a prestigious Further Education College in Cambridge. This is a full-time, ongoing temporary role offering a great opportunity to become part of a dynamic and supportive team within a busy and thriving college environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• General maintenance and upkeep of the college campus and buildings.
• Ensuring the campus is clean, safe, and secure for students, staff, and visitors.
• Assisting with setting up rooms for events and activities.
• Conducting routine checks on lighting, heating, and plumbing.
• Handling minor repairs and reporting any major issues to the Facilities Manager.
• Ensuring all health and safety regulations are met.
• Responding promptly to any emergency situations or maintenance requests.
• Assisting with grounds maintenance, including outdoor areas.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar caretaker or maintenance role, preferably within an educational environment.
• Basic knowledge of general building maintenance and health & safety regulations.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• A proactive approach to tasks and a willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to work outside of normal hours if required.
