I’m currently working with a college in Cambridge who are looking for a Caretaker to work on a full-time, permanent basis.
The role is on a shift basis, with a mixture of day and late shifts with one day working at the weekend required every two weeks.
Typical duties would include:
- Site security for the building, locking and unlocking at the required times and monitoring for any breaches.
- Moving furniture and equipment as required
- Daily cleaning duties
- Perform all tasks in compliance with health and safety legislation and school procedures.
- Handling deliveries and distributing them around the college.
The successful candidate:
- Excellent communication skills
- Well organised with a high level of attention to detail.
- Able to cope with varied situations and to prioritise workload where required.
- Positive and proactive approach to work.
Previous experience working in a caretaker or porter role would be beneficial, but isn’t essential.
